MARILYN MANSON Visits RADIO 1: Audio Available
September 24, 2004MARILYN MANSON visited BBC Radio 1's Jo Whiley on Wednesday (Sept. 22) in London to discuss his new "best of" album, "Lest We Forget", his friendship with Sharon Osbourne, reality TV, Michael Moore and DEPECHE MODE. Manson said of reality television and its negative influence on music: "It's a very fine line between being a chef and a waiter, and as an artist if you start catering to what people want or you let people decide what they want it can really compromise the integrity of everything as a whole. Music is in such a bad spot now because of things like that. We're very focused on watching other people's lives instead of living our own and it's kind of sad." Listen to the entire interview here.
